Two lines appear on the pregnancy test if the result is positive and you are pregnant, and only one line if the result is negative and you are not pregnant. A positive result, i.e. two lines, can appear on the test within a minute. To ensure a negative result, you have to wait 6 minutes. After this, do not read the test again.
